Akhila Sasidharan is an actress, television anchor and dancer.She was born in Kozhikode, Kerala and had her education from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School, Kozhikode. She was the runnerup in Vodafone Thakadhimi, a dance reality show screened in Asianet in 2007. She then became an anchor in the music reality show, Munch Star Singer Juniour, again screened in Asianet. Being a lover of Bharatanatyam, she has got years of training in the same. She is now debutting as an actress through Kaaryasthan, starring Dileep, which is to be released in 2010. She is playing the lead character, Sribala, in the movie directed by Thomson. K. Thomas.
