Nithya Menon is a Malayalam film actress who made her acting debut in Mohanlal starrer Aakasha Gopuram.Ponnu, is what she is dearly called, was born on 1988 in Calicut. She did her degree in journalism and wanted to be a journalist initially . She is based out of Bangalore. Nithya Menon, who has showcased her acting skills through the Mohanlal movie Akashagopuram by K P Kumaran has landed in the Malayalam film industry by sheer coincidence. She had appeared on the cover of a tourism book. Mohanlal saw the picture and thus she got a call from the film's director.
