Neelathamara - Profile

A heart rendering tale, the story is about Kunjimaalu (archana), a housemaid at the rich house of Maalukuttiyamma (sreedevi unni). The situation is that Kunjimaalu is deeply in love with Haridas (kailash), son of Maalukuttiyamma. He has charmed her with his wits and wooing and in no time they end up making love. Apparently, Kunjimaalu has prayed to the Thevar and takes it as a blue signal when the Neelathamara bends onto her side. However, fate has something else for her as Haridas goes ahead and marries Ratnam (samvrutha). But instead of cribbing and complaining, Kunjimaalu comes to terms with her life and moves on. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
