The story moves around Prakash and Uthara. Prakash's father Sreedhara Menon runs a supermarket. He wanted Prakash to become an officer. But after graduation Prakash engaged in the activities of an Arts Club in the village. He neglected his father's wish and did not try for any job. He spared time to help other people in the village. He has an inclination for a girl in the village. Her name was Uthara, daughter of Mahadevan, who is very rich. Incidently Uthara fell into a well and Prakash saved her. There he committed that he will make Uthara his life partner. Only Prakash's sister and friends did know the relationship with Uthara. Meantime, Mahadevan fixed Uthara's marriage with the son of a rich fellow.
