Pazhassi Raja - Profile

Pazhassi Raja is a Indian multilingual biopic magnum opus film directed by T. Hariharan, and written by M.T. Vasudevan Nair. It stars Mammootty in the titular role, and R. Sarathkumar, Thilakan, Kanika Subramaniam, Padmapriya, Manoj K. Jayan, Peter Handley Evans, Harry Key, Linda Arsenio, and Jagathi Sreekumar in other major roles. The film's score and soundtrack are done by Illayaraja. A part of the score was produced at the Hungarian National Philharmonic (Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra), Budapest.[4] The sound designing is done by Academy Award winner Resul Pookutty. Originally filmed in the Malayalam language, the film is dubbed in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The film released on 16 October 2009 across Kerala with a record 130 prints.

PROFILE
Padmapriya is a Tamilian.She was born in Delhi and brought up in Punjab.He did MBA in finance at Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies, Bangalore and also she did B.Sc Computer Science and Engineering, Loyola Academy, Alwal, Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh.She was working with GE Capital as a risk consultant in Bangalore and Gurgaon. After GE she was with Symphony in Bangalore.She has grown up to be a vibrant dansuese under the auspices of the famous guru Natya Brahma V.S. Ramamurthy. She performed more than 200 public performances to her credit. Her Krishna Leela Ballet, where she performed the role of Lord Krishna for Hyderabad Doordarshan in 1990 is telecast even today on almost all Krishna Jayanti festivals and was specially chosen for the SAARC exchange program - she also featured in Nritya Rupam, an innovative choreography by Jayalakshmi Eshwar at Delhi, which was also specially telecast by Delhi Doordarshan. She has also won Miss. Andhra Pradesh in 2001.Her passion for acting and modeling has made her successful in her films. Her first film was in Telugu. She then started acting in malayalam movies, where she acted with all the superstars such as Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi and Jayaram. Her first film in Tamil being Thavamai Thavamirundhu paired with actor/director Cheran, which turned to be a huge hit. Then followed Pattiyal a film directed by Vishnuvardhan in which she paired with Arya.She has also ventured into Hindi cinema and is doing Striker where she is paired opposite Siddharth. The movie is directed by Chandan Arora.She is also a trained make-up artist and hair stylist.

MOVIE IN A NUTSHELL
Roy (Jayaram) a Christian and a successful architect and Maya (Padmapriya) a Brahmin girl are happily married and live in a cozy luxury apartment, with their little daughter, Anakha (Baby Nivedita). One fine day on the insistence of Anakha they go for a short vacation to an old bungalow where they had lived before in a remote hill station and soon, certain strange things start happening in their lives.The film is actually a remake of the director’s Hindi film “Gauri- The Unborn”.The film is distributed by Mega Star Mammootty's play house distrution.
