MOVIE IN A NUTSHELL
Ritu tells the tale of three young friends who move through a fascinating season in their lives, different from the earlier one they really cherished. Seasons of life change. Friends change. You change. So did Sarat Varma, Varsha John, and Sunny Immatty, while growing up together in love and their beautiful innocence. They were almost inseparable. Their love for each other was indivisible. Yet, a time came when the three of them stumble upon the truths about themselves. Suddenly, they can see themselves in a new light. In fright and pain, they ask themselves: are we really what we think we are?
On one level, it could be said that Ritu weaves in subtly the undertone of this misunderstanding, realisation. On another and a more visible level, it is about one big web of wishes, dreams, and desires the three young friends weave around themselves. Ritu is a graceful and breezy story of the journey of the three young people into the wonders of life. Perhaps, you will someday, reflect upon yourself to check and see which one of them is you.

MOVIE IN A NUTSHELL
The movie tells the story of father and his only son, who loves the game of cricket more than anything. Mammootty’s character in the movie has the name Antony Simon, who is by profession an officer in the crime branch. Also in the cast of this movie are Indrajith and Kalabhavan Mani.The makers of the movie have started their search for a fresh face to appear as the child artist in the film.Mammootty will appear as a cool daddy in the new film directed by debutante Aashiq Abu. Daddy Cool’ produced by Alwin Antony has also in its crew, Big B fame Samir Taahir as the cinematographer. Anil Panachooran, Biji Bal team will handle the music section of the movie.

MOVIE IN A NUTSHELL
The film is based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s novel Hirak Deepthi. Dr. S.R. Nathan (Mammootty) is a world-renowned professor of Economics. A theorist to the core, he always harps on his pet topics of poverty and developmental issues that concern the third world. He is a loner who hits the bottle. Not a womanizer though, in his own terms, he loves their company.
But his close friend Bella (Ramya Krishnan) is more practical. She tries to identify herself with some of the stark realities of life.
Deepthi (Meera Jasmine) is a housewife who stays in the same apartment complex with her husband (Narain) and son. Her husband is on the lookout for a job. On his persuasion, Deepthi approaches Nathan.
Their chance encounter ends up in a complex relationship. But Nathan is unperturbed and quite unmindful of his ways. While Deepthi gets a feeling of guilt, Nathan just shoos it away. In fact, he is working on a book on middle class attitudes and notions. Yet, when confronted with real questions, Nathan loses ground — a reference to the pseudo-intellectual image.
Here, the director closely examines the disturbing relationship between two individuals. Deepthi is not able to pull herself away from Nathan.
The undercurrents in the minds of Deepti and Nathan, their tormented souls turbulent as the sea are captured on frame dexterously by Alagappan, the cameraman. Though the film does not give any direct message, it does hint at what makes or breaks a relationship.
