Keralotsavam 2009 - Profile

A stale tale, the story begins with Padmanabhan Embranthiri (Nedumudi) who happens to be a noted artist and also a former member of the Kerala Kalamandalam. He is keen on starting a cultural group and this is titled 'Kalanikethan'. He is successful in doing so and soon, he also starts organizing cultural festivals. Padmanabhan is ably supported by his beautiful daughter Ganga (vishnupriya) who is a trained classical dancer herself and the story takes a turn when she chances upon Sandeep (vinu). Sandeep happens to be a kalaripayattu expert but then he wants to become part of the troupe. In no time, the troupe realizes that something is not right with Sandeep and in comes the investigating officer (kalabhavan) who tries to unearth the plot. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
