Viji Tamby directed the movie APRIL FOOL, staring by Siddiqe, Jagadeesh, Jagathi sreekumar, Lal etc. this is Viji Tamby’s 27th film. The movie tracks humorous episodes in the life of a leading businessman Rakesh Menon, essayed by Siddique. Jagadeesh plays the role of Siddique’s friend along with others like Biju Menon and Jagathy Sreekumar. K P A C Lalitha, Manoj K Jayan, Maniyanpillai Raju, Indrans, Kaveri and Nayana are the others in key roles. Bangaloru based model Nayana will enter the movie as the lead heroine.Famous Malayalam Comedy actor Jagadeesh wrote the script for this comedy based movie. A city club, which Rakesh Menon (Siddique) visits every weekend, regularly hosts a special program which hosts a poorly performing artists, thus humiliating them and giving a sadistic pleasure for the audience. One day, Rakesh invites Krishnanunni (Jagadish), an Income Tax inspector and singer to perform for this event. To test that he is a 'real fool', Rakesh invites Krishnanunni to his home first for a trial performance. On that day, Rakesh accidentally falls into a swimming pool and gets injured. The club cancels the event due to Rakesh’s injury. Krishnanunni unaware of this, still visits Rakesh's home as he was told. The rest of the story is the humorous idiotic situations that Krishnanunni creates at Rakesh's home. He is several times being called by the sir as 'idiot'. But then the film tells that he was a very good man, rare, as there are very rare people who are happy with other's happiness.
