An Ideal Family at Last

Mummy and Me is the story of Jewel (Archana Kavi) the daughter of Joseph (Mukesh) and Clara (Urivashi). The film revolves around the happenings in the present family system. In fact, this is one modern day story of a family whose interests lie clearly in their nuclear lot and not the joint family.

Enter Rahul (Kunjako Boban) who plays Jewel's love interest and is the lone child of Thomachan (Lalu Alex) and Mary (Shari). The film is not a biased view of the family system and fails to take sides..

Jewel is a new age girl with open positive relations but Clara is a conventional mother who is always in the lookout to find fault with her daughter and trying to correct her in every way she could. This leads to complaints and fights which kills the peace of the small, ideal family.

Meanwhile Jewel befrieds a fashion designer who calls himself 'Mr X' (Suresh Gopi) with the mutual agreement that they wont ask for the real identity of each other.Jewel eventually finds relief from her personal problems through his advices which leads her to strongly believe that she has fallen in love with him. Rest of the film deals with the way Jewel and his family deals the issue.The film is a super hit at the box office.
